The Maricopa County Veterans’ Court accepts felony offenses where the veteran is already on probation. If a veteran is eligible for probation he/she will be screened by the probation department to see what probation unit best fits his/her needs. If the veteran is placed on the specialized veterans’ case load, the probation officer will contact the judge to add the veteran to the calendar as needed depending on the veteran's compliance while on probation, and the risk and needs of the veteran.
